Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre

“Connected Seniors: Engaging in Community with Confidence” is a project designed to help seniors build confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging through community-based outings. Their “try and test” approach allows participants to explore interests that they can continue beyond the program through monthly outings. Each outing connects seniors with one of three categories of activity: arts and crafts, physical activity, or social and cultural programs.

“Grant funding from the Miroir Foundation allowed our centre to diversity activities for our centre’s seniors program.”

“Seniors truly appreciate being given the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of their city in a way that is safe and fun”

— Aline Abdulnour, Program Pillar Lead and Community Support and Development
