The “Enriching Activities for the Well-Being of Long-Term Care Residents” is a unique initiative that aims to improve the quality of life of long-term care residents by offering them varied, simulated experiences suited to their abilities. Understanding that joy may have different meanings for residents who grew up in the 1940s compared to the 1970s, they offer a diverse range of activities from organized outings, like the RCMP Musical Ride, to community partnerships, like the Humane Society.

“The programs had a positive impact on residents, bringing significant joy and happiness to their daily lives.”

“All participants expressed strong interest in repeating the experiences … demonstrating that the activities met the residents’ interests and contributed positively to their overall well-being”

— Denise Cyr, Administrator
