Friends in Sport Fishing
“Catch a Smile” is a volunteer-run, registered charity operating in and around Ottawa. They provide free sightseeing and fishing trips on adapted pontoon boats along the Ottawa River and Canal. Their members, many of them being retired older adults themselves, hope to build a community around the mutual enjoyment of boating and fishing. Recently, in 2026, they celebrated their 30th anniversary!
“Everyone ‘catches a smile’ while checking out the marches for turtles, herons and other wildlife, or catching their first fish, or playing ‘I Spy’ on the water.”
“We have proudly listed the Fondation Miroir Foundation’s name and logo to our Catch a Smile web page under the Supporters tab”
— Pat O'Brien, President
